#1. Do not skip breakfast
Considered as the most important meal of the day, breakfast gears up your body and gets you ready for the day. Therefore, it is advisable to eat something for breakfast that can generate energy slowly. A cup of low-fat yoghurt would be an ideal breakfast if you are on a weight loss goal.
#2. Reduce the consumption of stimulants
Stimulants such as caffeine, refined sugar and alcohol can be harmful when taken on an empty stomach. Restrict the intake of such stimulants and have them only with your meals.
#3. Drink lot of water
Water works as a detoxifying agent for the body and helps in digestion. It flushes out toxic materials from the body and keeps your skin glowing. It is best to drink water early in the morning as it can jump-start your metabolism and get your body ready for daily activities.
#4. Consume more fruits and vegetables
Eat at least five portions of fruits and vegetables every day. Start your day with fruits. It is extremely beneficial when consumed on an empty stomach. But, keep away from having them immediately after meals as it might add more calories to your body than it needs.

Tracking your calorie consumption is really important in any diet plan. Avoid high-calorie foods like pastries, sweets, fried foods and pizzas.
#9. Take your last meal early
Make sure you have your last meal of the day at least two hours before you go to bed.
